Well I've been so frustrated surfing around for a new dolly to satisfy my obsessive urges, and then I saw a pic posted by Secretdoll among my flickr contacts, of a new line of bjd's they've just put up for sale. That was IT! They're calling them "Picturedolls", and she is "person 08". There will only be 30 of each doll made. Anyway, I fell head over heels, she was exactly what I've been hoping to find…so I ordered her immediately, but she won't ship til mid-August…

Tiny Mini Riz has a name…Yardley. And I cannot find a wig to fit, so I made one, and then I tried a tiny hat I had knitted for one of my Momoko dolls, and it almost looks like a wig with pigtails. So far I like it the best.

I am so in love with this mini Riz from Planetdoll…but she is still hairless, and eyeless (only some crummy acrylic ones as of yet). I ordered a wig that didn't fit, sent it back and ordered another. So we wait. I decided to take some nudie pics of her. She has this little dancer's body that is so great for posing, such great posture.I did a bit of body blushing as well…

I love my 43cm Planetdoll Riz so much, I had to order a Mini Riz….it only takes them a week to get their dolls in your hands! A great company! She was even smaller than I had imagined. I am smitten but she has no glass eyes or wig or clothes. Oh well, all in good time…

Just got yet another new BJD. I'm getting carried away, I know. I couldn't help it when I saw this girl around…went to the website and saw she was so reasonably priced. She's 43cm, and it's too bad they don't have nicer pics on the site, because I don't think it does justice at all. She came and she's of really great quality and her body style and resin are REALLY close to Dollstown. The only thing I'm not crazy about is her snappy elbows. They are either straight or snap into the completely bent position. I'll try to suede them somehow, or restring. But she stands like a rock. To me she has a real little ballerina's body.

So I have totally fallen for this girl that I really was a bit disappointed with at first. I think it's her quirkiness that I love. She is the first doll I've had that actually photographs BETTER that she looks in real life! I did put different eyes in…they're bigger, darker, and they're glass. I find that Glib acrylic eyes have an odd "pointed" shape and catch the light in an unreal way. These are way better.

So I'm snapping away like a drunken fool!
